Weight stigma has harmful effects on physical and mental health and can undermine public health efforts.

We study how weight stigma and bias appear in healthcare, media, and policy discourse, and how it affects access to care and health behaviors. Our work advocates for weight-inclusive approaches to nutrition policy that avoid placing blame on individuals, focusing instead on the environmental and biological drivers of weight.
